Quality

Porter-Leath's culture demands quality services and effective management. It's integral to everything we do, and incorporated into every last detail. It's the reason why we continue to serve as a model of efficiency and accountability for the community. And because of our own stable foundation we are able to consistently help those who need to build a strong foundation of their own.

Real outcomes. Porter-Leath has designed and implemented a system to track real outcomes for every child it serves. Our own Performance and Quality Improvement Department is constantly tracking client progress and partnering with independent evaluators to ensure that our services are truly effective. Take a look at our Focus areas to see individual statistics or read some of our Success Stories.

Real commitment. Porter-Leath is also committed to supporting and developing the staff members who provide critical services to the children in our care. This includes spontaneous and planned recognition, rewards and ongoing training. This plan improves staff recruitment, retention and training, thus increasing program quality.

Real proof. Awards and accreditations aren't just pats on the back to the board and staff of Porter-Leath. They provide continuous validation that we are helping to build the right foundation for the children and families we serve. Porter-Leath is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), both of which are gold standards in the field of early childhood development. Porter-Leath is also proud to have received the prestigious Pyramid of Excellence Award from the Greater Memphis Association of Quality and was ranked by the Department of Children's Services as the 6th best agency in terms of performance out of the 55 contracted agencies across the state. Visit our News section to learn more.

Real processes. In 2004, the Porter-Leath Early Childhood Foundation was established in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. This allows Porter-Leath to reap the benefits of excellent management as well as access to top quality legal and investment advice at a very reasonable cost. This fund augments other third party funds and grants that are continuously sought to upgrade program quality and enhance family function.
