Started in 2003, this December event brings more than smiles to those driving by Bud Davis Cadillac — it brings toys to each and every one of the thousands of children served by Porter-Leath’s programs each year. Most of these children wouldn’t have the opportunity to experience such Christmas-morning joy otherwise. So when you are doing your holiday shopping, pick up an extra new toy or gift, and drop it by the Toy Truck parked at it's new home, Bud Davis Cadillac (located at 5433 Poplar Avenue). WRVR radio personalities will once again be camped out with the truck and raising awareness on-air until not one more bike, doll or teddy bear can fit inside. You can also simply drive by and help Fill Santa’s Boot, too, with a cash donation, or donate online. This year's Toy Truck is presented by BancorpSouth. Toys and donations can be dropped off at any BancorpSouth location.
No time to shop? PL is pleased to be able to purchase bicycles with donations of $68. Donations are welcome at the Toy Truck, online, or through the mail. Any check in the amount of $68 (or $136, $204, etc.) will be automatically designated towards the bicycle fund.
